Frisk Asker pulled away in the third period to beat Stavanger Oilers 5–2 in EliteHockey Ligaen, Norway's top division, at Varner Arena on Saturday 17 October. We produced the match for TV 2.
After a goalless first period, Marcus Valkvæ Erevik broke the deadlock in the second. Felix Granath doubled the lead in the third, but Mathias Trettenes pulled one back for the Oilers shortly afterwards.
Thomas Valkvæ Olsen made it 3–1, Christian Vethe Bye added a fourth and Sander Wold a fifth before Ludwig Blomstrand had the last word for the visitors. Frisk are top of the table, one point clear of Vålerenga, who have a game in hand.
We ran the broadcast as a remote production, and at Varner Arena we had a crew of nine to give us the best broadcast possible.
With contribution from TV 2 and Telenor, the signals went back to our hub at H21, where the rest of the crew sat in PCR 2 and delivered a wonderful production for TV 2 viewers.
Norway's two leading men's handball sides met before a full house at Trondheim Spektrum on Saturday, and we were there for TV 2 as Elverum won 37–25 at Kolstad in the Elkjøp-ligaen, the country's top flight.
Both sides came into the game looking for a response after European defeats earlier in the week: Norwegian champions Kolstad lost to Kriens-Luzern in the EHF Champions League, while Elverum went down to RK Nexe in the EHF European League.
Elverum led 16–14 at half-time, then raised the tempo after the break to turn a two-goal lead into a 12-goal win. Simon Jeppsson scored 11 for Kolstad, but the hosts endured a tough second half.
With Norway right wing Kevin Gulliksen in their ranks, Elverum remain unbeaten in the league on 14 points from seven games, five clear of Kolstad.
We ran a full production: five cameras including super slow-motion, a reporter and an expert on the floor, and a commentary team. Our remote vehicle MRV-1 was on site, with the signals delivered over Telenor's contribution network.
A successful broadcast, and exactly the kind of big-arena match day our crew are built for.
Blinkfestivalen 2026 was produced centrally from H21, our production centre in Oslo.
22 sources were sent from the arena to H21. Cameras and selected equipment stayed on site, while direction, replay, graphics and sound were all handled from Oslo.
Over three days we covered roller-ski biathlon, the shooting duel and cross-country roller-ski racing for NRK.
The contribution ran on Net Insight's Nimbra technology – the same workflow we have since taken to European football.
This summer we produced two European qualifiers centrally: Lillestrøm SK vs KF Egnatia in the UEFA Europa League play-off at Åråsen, and Tromsø IL vs Brighton & Hove Albion in the UEFA Conference League.
Both productions ran with eight cameras plus studio. Net Insight's Nimbra 520 handled broadcast-quality HEVC contribution from the venue, while Nimbra Edge let us orchestrate and control the whole workflow centrally as one live service.
Cameras and selected equipment stay at the venue, while the production team works from our centralized facilities. According to Group CTO Trond Hermansen, the goal is to run demanding productions with the quality and control premium sport needs – without adding complexity for the crew.
